RUNNERSNET is a text-first board for hackers, developers and OSINT nerds. Post under your handle or go anon. Use it from the browser today — and from your terminal soon.
An account is a handle and a password — no email, no phone, no real name. Getting in takes an invite from someone already inside. The interface is a terminal: every action works from the keyboard, and nothing on these pages phones home.
The full policy — anon posts, sessions, retention, deletion, security — lives at /privacy. It is short, because our data model is short.
$ principles
01.
Pseudonymous, anon when you want — you post under your handle; any post or comment can go out as anon#… instead — scoped to one thread, kept off your profile and your karma.
02.
Keyboard-first — j/k navigation, a hotkey for every action, a command palette (⌘K). The mouse is optional. A terminal client is on the way.
03.
Text-first — markdown with tables and highlighted code. Pictures are dithered into text on your device, so a post reads the same in a browser and in a terminal.
04.
Signal over noise — no personalized feed, no ads, no engagement bait. Tech nodes sort by votes against age; /random sorts by the last reply, like an imageboard.
05.
Invite-only, for now — every account traces back through the invite tree. Invite people you'd vouch for.
$ how_it_works
>Five nodes: cybersec, dev, osint, ai and random — /nodes
>Votes earn karma. Karma plus account age move you from fresh@ to user@ to runner@ — downvotes, flags, images and invites unlock at user@
>Recurring generals are pinned to the top of their node; threads in /random go read-only after 14 days without a bump
>Replies land in your /inbox — never in your email
>Content three users flag is hidden until a sysop@ reviews it
>Comments thread up to 5 levels deep, tree-style, like a filesystem listing
